COVERGIRL Blast FLIPSTICK review
COVERGIRL Blast FLIPSTICK:
I am a huge make-up fan, as you might already know. I love to go to Ulta and Sephora and try all of the new products. I jumped at the chance to try COVERGIRL's new blast flipstick when BzzAgent was offering the project. I could not wait for them to arrive in the mail!
I was NOT disappointed. The color looks great as you can tell in the pic of my applying it. I like for colors to stand out and these flipsticks really have bold colors that stand out. You can mix both ends of the "flip" stick to create a cream and shimmer blend canvas on your pucker. I prefer to just use one side and have the more subtle look, but that is because I like to use more eye makeup than lip shades. I also love that the flipstick moisturizes my lips. It does not leave that cakey-ness that some lipsticks tend to leave and are my hugest pet peeve!!!
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product and thank you to BzzAgent for the free samples and bzzkit!!

Old Navy Fall Sweater Sampler
Crowdtap.com recently had a sampling for their Style Council Sweater Event!!!! I was lucky enough to be able to participate in this. My sister and I went to Old Navy today with our coupons to search for some new sweaters. We found some cute styles; however, we are both more simple and ended up really liking the cable boat-neck sweaters. I wanted something bright and airy so I chose the Star Fruit yellow color. My sister wanting something for Christmas-time so she chose the Imperial Jade green shade. I chose to pair my sweater with a printed gauze scarf in yellow, black, and white. We were both very impressed with the warmth of our sweaters on this bitter, cold November day!

Recycling to save money!
Two things that make me feel great and productive are going green and saving money. I will give some tips on how to do both. Here are some of my favorites:
Grow a garden!
Clean with baking soda or vinegar instead of buying multiple household agents.
Use lunch boxes not paper bags
Walk or ride a bike, carpool to save gas.
Sell your old CDs, records, movies, games, magazines, or electronics to stores such as Half Price Books or Disc Replay. Although you won't make much money, it is better than nothing.
Sell old clothing at garage sales or to consignment shops. If they do not sell, obviously donating them works too.
Reuse containers such as baby wipe containers. I use these for my makeup and personal care items.
Reuse wine or beer bottles as candle holders. I like to paint old items and make them look fresh and new.
I also use shoe boxes to store DVDs or my craft items.
Egg cartons are wonderful for storing golf balls or for jewelry organizing.
My gym uses an old tire for exercise equipment. We do step ups on it and sometimes roll it down the gym.

Redbox Rental: Friends with Kids
Our redbox rental last night was Friends with Kids starring Jennifer Westfeldt and Adam Scott as Julia and Jason, lifelong friends who decide to procreate. Julia and Jason see the miserable lives of their married with children friends and decide that they want to try it another way. They want to share the "ugly" part and find their romance and love of their lives on the side. Julia and Jason shed light on an alternative way of parenting which is frowned upon by their friends and family.
Throughout the movie, Jason is a womanizer which is a bit unbelievable to me. He is not very attractive and basically lives with his baby's mother. He somehow lands Megan Fox who appears much younger and way more attractive than him. She is very Hollywood compared to him. His pick-up lines were not even creative. On the other hand, he does appear responsible and a great father/friend which- in actual life -should be what matters the most.
The four castmembers of the movie Bridesmaids adds some touches of humor to this film. Perhaps this is done to show the more dramatic and serious side of marriage and parenting, which many films do not show. I would recommend to rent it but do not expect to be shocked or overlly thrilled by it. It is a pretty good film for what it is, but something is missing.
3 out of 5 stars for a pretty good redbox rental that kept me interested.

Movie review: Ted
My fiance were interested in seeing Ted because the previews looked funny and we had recommendations from friends. My fiance is especially into crude humor and silly comedies so we knew he would love this. I enjoy good-hearted films and a good laugh. We were both laughing throughout the movie.
The character Ted was pretty genius. He is an adorable teddy bear with the manners of a pig. I love how they threw in jokes from the 80s and 90s (since Ted and John became best friends in 1985). I was not happy about the church jokes, choice words, minority cracks, and drug use; however, the movie as a whole was very enjoyable. I will still never understand why some people brought children and babies to this film. Just because there is a talking bear, does not mean it is for children!!! Very mature humor which adults will love and probably want to see again in the future. 4.5 out of 5 stars for the intense laughter that filled our theater (myself included).

Movie Review: Rock of Ages
I am a HUGE fan of 80s music. It is my absolute favorite genre!! I had free movie passes to see Rock of Ages last weekend so I made my fiance go with me. He is not a fan of musicals. This is my personal opinion of the movie.
This movie was based on the musical Rock of Ages. It starts with Sherrie and Drew, two young wannabe famous singers that have moved to the big city to find fame. Julianne Hough plays her typical innocent, squeaky girl with her sub-par singing. I am a fan of Julianne and she is very cute; however, I have heard much better singers and I feel like she played up the acting a bit too much. Drew was played by Diego Boneta, who actually started to grow on me throughout the movie. I think he will be seen in a lot new movies. He was in some teenie bopper movies in the past and I am sure was glad to land such a lead role.
Sherrie and Drew had great chemistry and shared a sweet innocence throughout the movie. I am a sap for cheesy chick flicks, so I enjoyed their scenes together.
Catherine Zeta-Jones played an annoying role of Patricia Whitmore, wife of a politician, who is anti- rock n roll. I was not impressed with the portrayal of Christianity in this movie. They showed many stereotypes and included scenes in a church which were less than flattering. I was not impressed with Catherine in this movie; although she is a decent actress. She could do with a little less botox as it was hard for her to move her eyebrows.
Tom Cruise playing Stacee Jaxx was very comical. He did a great job with this role and showed the angst that came with being in rock bands of this decade. His monkey side kick provided great comic relief for me as well.
Russell Brand always annoys me in anything that he does. He does not seem funny to me and I don't care for his singing. That is all.
Alec Baldwin is great at playing a train wreck. He fit role of a struggling night club owner to a T. His role brought the whole movie full-circle by his owning and running the Bourbon club which is the main atmosphere for the movie.
My fiance thought there was entirely too much music in this movie. It was a little over two hours long and contained a lot of music. I can see why he felt this way; however, I loved singing and dancing along to all of the great music of the 80s! These were some of my favorite hits which I listen to regularly on my Ipod. :)
In closing, don't expect the best acting or surprising plot. I felt like it had some good parts and truly enjoyed the songs! I would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars!!! (I would also not recommend bringing a child under 13 to this movie as it has a mature nature that most musicals share)

Survey site reviews
I have been a member of various survey sites over the years. Some fare well, others I have not had much success. I will review some of my current survey sites that I use on a daily/weekly basis. I will give star ratings (1 being lowest, 5 being the best!)
First, I will discuss mypoints.com 5 out of 5 stars!
All you have to do is check your emails and you can earn points. Additional points may be earned from surveys, making purchases online, watching videos, completing online searches, or fulfilling other offers. I have received great pay-outs from mypoints.com I find this site very user-friendly and has great rewards! I have received restaurant gift cards, gas cards, clothing store gift cards, and other awesome gifts which I have given to others (or myself!)
Next, I will talk about globaltestmarket.com. 5 out of 5 stars!
I receive e-mails on a daily basis for these surveys. They are often very interesting and topics that relate to my lifestyle. I have obtained many points for these surveys. I have received quite a few monetary rewards, which are the best!
Zoompanel.com 4 out of 5 stars. Zoompanel is very simple to navigate. The surveys are typically short and easy to fill out. They often include videos and photos of different products. I have gotten decent rewards from this site; however, there are almost too many to pick through. Some of the rewards are low quality which is reflective of how many points you are using.
Surveys.com. 2 out of 5 stars. I rarely get surveys from them. I do not think I have ever been able to obtain rewards from their site either.
Ipsos panel- 3 out of 5 stars. This site changes regularly. I am not a huge fan of getting points for sweepstakes. I much prefer just getting rewards up front like the other sites offer.
Opinion Outpost- 4 out of 5 stars! I have not had as much luck recently on qualifying for the surveys as I used to have. Their surveys are not as enjoyable as some of the other sites, in my opinion. However, I used to get great rewards! I have gotten Itunes gift cards and Amazon.com gift cards. They are some of my favorite rewards!
RecycleBank- 4 out of 5 stars. This is a novel idea! Recycling is an amazing concept and you get rewarded for being eco-friendly! I just wish the rewards were a bit better; however, I learn so much from this site and have fun using it.
I will write about some of my other survey sites soon!! Hope you enjoy the information!!

I also get points for reviewing products and talking about them to friends and family. Here is link for my newest campaign: Stylefind. Stylefind features over 200 name brand retailers. Social Saver
I am a social worker, which is quite rewarding and challenging at times. I would say one of the most fun things it has helped teach me is how to save. We all know that social work pays in other ways than financially. This has taught me to learn to stretch my paychecks as far as they can go. Yes, sometimes I shop too much and buy fruitless items; however, I am catching on to the art of couponing and sweepstakes.
I love to enter contests and sweepstakes in the evenings after a long day at work. I also enjoy racking up coupons to take on my shopping trips. The sound of savings is one of the most beautiful sounds that I know. I know it is a bit dorky but freebies make my day. Whenever I am in a bad mood but come home to prizes or freebies, my entire mood shifts.
My boyfriend always tells me that I should find a hobby that I enjoy. Well to me, saving is my hobby! It is an art and I am loving learning it along the way.
