I was selected to be part of the Bzzagent campaign to try free product and give coupons. I sampled Lean Cuisine Salad Additions which is the first Lean Cuisine product to combine frozen food and fresh ingredients. Suggested retail price: $3.29
There are four flavors: Asian-style Chicken, Bistro Chicken, Cranberry Chicken and Southwest-style Chicken. All you have to do is add the lettuce of your choice.
I chose to use romaine lettuce for my salads.
First, I tried the Southwest-style Chicken. It had just the right amount of flavor to tempt me to eat the whole salad within minutes!
I definitely recommend the Southwest-style chicken salad- It has grilled white chicken, black beans, corn, red peppers and poblano peppers. It has Chipotle ranch dressing in a separate package that you can add as much or little of as you could want. It also has a pack of tortilla strips that add crunch to the salad. The salad is listed at 260 calories, which isn't bad for a meal.
The other Salad Addition that I tried was the Bistro Chicken. It had awesome flavor as well. It contains grilled white chicken, asparagus, yellow carrots, red peppers, onion straws and vinaigrette with bacon. This one was listed as a few less calories---240. My only complaint about the Bistro Chicken is the veggies. They took away from the flavor of the chicken. It would taste much better to add your own veggies but I understand that they were trying to make it more convenient.
I will definitely purchase more of the Lean Cuisine Salad Additions in the future. They make perfect lunches- healthy, satisfying, and ready in minutes!!!
