Old Navy Fall Sweater Sampler

Crowdtap.com recently had a sampling for their Style Council Sweater Event!!!!  I was lucky enough to be able to participate in this.  My sister and I went to Old Navy today with our coupons to search for some new sweaters.  We found some cute styles; however, we are both more simple and ended up really liking the cable boat-neck sweaters.  I wanted something bright and airy so I chose the Star Fruit yellow color.  My sister wanting something for Christmas-time so she chose the Imperial Jade green shade.  I chose to pair my sweater with a printed gauze scarf in yellow, black, and white.  We were both very impressed with the warmth of our sweaters on this bitter, cold November day!
We are very impressed with our new sweaters.  I plan to wear mine to work and she plans to wear hers on Christmas!

Recycling to save money!

Two things that make me feel great and productive are going green and saving money.  I will give some tips on how to do both.    Here are some of my favorites:

Grow a garden!

Clean with baking soda or vinegar instead of buying multiple household agents.

Use lunch boxes not paper bags
Walk or ride a bike, carpool to save gas.

Sell your old CDs, records, movies, games, magazines, or electronics to stores such as Half Price Books or Disc Replay.  Although you won't make much money, it is better than nothing.

Sell old clothing at garage sales or to consignment shops.  If they do not sell, obviously donating them works too.

Reuse containers such as baby wipe containers.  I use these for my makeup and personal care items.

Reuse wine or beer bottles as candle holders.  I like to paint old items and make them look fresh and new.

I also use shoe boxes to store DVDs or my craft items.

Egg cartons are wonderful for storing golf balls or for jewelry organizing.

My gym uses an old tire for exercise equipment.  We do step ups on it and sometimes roll it down the gym.
